Santa Cruz Sea Glass & Ocean Art Festival Nov 3 &4, 2012 in the fabulous COCONUT GROVE at "the Boardwalk" in Santa Cruz, CA!! Admission $3 (kids under 6 FREE) 10% of admission fee donated to Ocean charity! Cash only at door. The PRIZE PIECE contest will be held on Sunday 11/4 with $1000 in Prizes!

"PRIZE PIECE" Contest will be held on Sunday 11/4 with a $500 1st place prize (all prizes being donated by us at Santa Cruz Sea Glass)! 2nd through 5th place prizes $100 cash winner each! Enter your sea glass treasure to win (each entry $2 - 10 entry limit per person - vendors are not allowed to enter). Entries must be submitted by the contestant (in-person) on Sunday from 10am-3pm, to the Prize Piece booth locatted in the Sun Room Terrace. Entry forms are filled out by the contestant, given to an attendant who will place entries on a table that corresponds to the contestants last name, with specific entry form number. The pieces for entry will be attached to contestant's entry form by glue dots. Copy of entry form number shall be given to contestant and will serve as reciept for return. Security will be provided during entry, however, Santa Cruz Sea Glass and it's attendants will not be held responsible for lost or stolen entries. Judging will commence at 3:00 with winners being announced at 4:00pm. Contestants should not speak to judges during the judging process. Judging shall be determined by Industry experts, NASGA Commercial Members, and/or sea glass professionals. First prize shall be awarded based on top criteria of color (best being Orange, Red, Turquoise, and yellow) and condition (best being entirely frosted with no nicks, chips or cracks). All entries must be picked up by their owners by end of festival on Sunday 11/4. Contestants are responsible for picking up their entries after the contest is over. Pick-up of entries shall correspond with contestants Last name and will be in groups, starting with A ending with Z. Please be patient, we will do everything to expedite the return process and make sure your prize piece is safely returned. So bring your piece for a chance to win $$$CASH$$$ Please note: Vendors, Judges and their families are not eligable for the Grand Prize.
The event features over 40 sea glass and ocean related artists that all share a passion for the Ocean and the conservation of our beaches and oceans. 2011 and 2010 shows were a great success - everyone LOVED the Cocoanut Grove with over 3000 people attending! 2009 was also a success, raising over $10,000 for the Seymour Science Center with 2400 attendees - Thank you! 10% of admission fees will be donated to the Monterey Bay Marine Sanctuary Foundation. So come have fun and help the ocean!
